New Gathered Tote/Handbag Preview!

I saw something similar to this and just had to make my own! I have been carrying one around for a few weeks now when I need a larger bag, (but not huge) and I am super happy with it! The gathered edge at the top hides any weird shaped items, but it is so nice when you have something flat, because the bag stays flat too! Look for it in my etsy shop soon!

My first "feature"

I got an amazing email this morning! Thebeadgirl put me in her first Treasury on Etsy! I feel so honored! I am very quickly falling into the "world of etsy". The people on this site are amazing, and it is such a wonderful place to become inspired!

I would love to hear YOUR favorite etsy shops! Since I'm new to this amazing world, I just sit and watch the Time Machine, and click on anything that looks fun. Any other tips?

Arts In Ada

Oh, what a beautiful day it was for the show! We worried and worried that it would rain...but it turned out so gorgeous! I had no idea how wonderful it would be to do an outdoor show! My wonderful brother in law made me this amazing sign...isn't he awesome?

I also met some amazing new people. I met an amazing couple who owns Cascade Stone Studio. Amazing Michigan stones tumbled and made into necklaces, wine toppers and more. When I find out their website, I will share it!

Here are some pics of the day...

Whaddya Think?

Recently, while on Etsy I bought some adorable magnets made from one of my favorite fabrics (Apples and Pears). When they arrived, I thought, "Hey, I can do that!", and now I've been looking everywhere for cute novelty fabrics with just the right size items on them! I am loving the cupcakes. Now I just need to find those fun frames that you can put magnets on! I also made a Memo Board with this concept for my beautiful neice. She had her First Communion this past Sunday, and so I made her little crosses out of fun, girly fabric. I just wish I had taken a picture!

So post comments and let me know how you like them! Is it worth putting in my shop and/or at Craft Shows? I was thinking about $2 for the larger ones, and $4 for the 'sets'. They have a thick interfacing/felt on the back to make them sturdy, along with (obviously) a magnet. Then I sealed the edges with Fray Check so they they wouldn't fray. So Whaddya Think? :)

Dreaming in Fabrics...

When I was in High School and on the swim team, used to have the strangest dreams. I would dream that I swam everywhere. I mean, no walking, no running, no CARS, just swimming. Now I am dreaming in fabrics. All I can think about is my favorite Michael Miller fabric...or that Amy Butler fabric I can't find. Someone help me! LOL

Now that's a good day!

I am so happy I decided to open an etsy shop. I was so leary...I thought that there would be way too many options and that no one would ever FIND me! Today I sold 5 items! Woohoo! I just signed up on April 11th, and I've already sold 10 items. I love etsy!

Lots of new, fun things!

Wow, I have found some new wonderful things. I love my new water bottle carriers. I found the pattern and had to make 20 of them!

Same thing with my new crocheted hats...found the pattern and want to make one with every color cotton yarn I can find. :)

For those of you who don't know it yet, you can find my etsy shop at , and see the new things I am talking about!

I also have a show coming up on May 17th in Ada. It is the Ada Arts Show and I am so excited! Hope to see you there!
